Pin goes back to the BFDIA 23 timeline, and replaces the president of Goiky with Needle.
Book tries to reason with Needle during the song.
Needle isn’t answering.
After moments of persistent “no” answers, Book gets really angry, and pulls up a Ping-Pong paddle designed (especially designed for this occasion) with the words

“BAD NEEDY”

on it.
This time Needle did respond, with the song ending with Needle’s words “an unfamiliar tongue”.
