How it works

  1. Pick a piece

Browse the library by difficulty, or open a MIDI file from your own device.

  2. Watch the notes fall

Each note lands on the key to press, in time with the music, so you can follow without reading a score.

  3. Practice at your pace

Slow it down, replay the hard bars and play along when you are ready.

Frequently asked questions

Is Pianotify free?
Yes. Browsing the library and playing any piece in full are free, with no account. A free account lets you save favorites, rate pieces and publish your own; Premium adds practice tools such as the A-B loop, transposition and fine tempo control.
Do I need to install anything?
No. The player runs in your web browser, on a computer, a tablet or a phone. You can also open a MIDI file from your own device.
Where does the music come from?
From the community: members publish their own MIDI files, sheet music and video covers, and each of them is responsible for the rights to what they publish. A rights holder can ask for a removal from our copyright page.
Can I publish my own pieces?
Yes. A free account lets you publish MIDI files, PDF sheet music and MuseScore files; video covers come with Premium. Each one gets its own page that others can play, rate and add to their collections.
